St Lucia Estuary Mouth

Current Conditions and Status
The Estuary Mouth was open to the ocean and the interaction spawned new life and recruited new life in the form of various Juvenile Species between 4 January 2021 and 4 June 2021.
During this time period the return of various prawn Species were witnessed.
Sadly during a storm surge over neaptide the Estuary Mouth washed close again. For the following week or so it was sad to see all the Estuarine Species hovering in front of the clogged up system attempting to get in.
We sincerely hope that the powers to be is going to intervene since the water levels are still available unrealistic high flooding farm land and wetlands alike.
