Richards Bay Experience 1 June 2021

On this outing it was very overcast.

While laying over month end in Richards Bay, waiting for some funds to trickle in before getting back to the salt mines in St Lucia, Pardette and Myself went for our early morning drive.

We drive to a beautiful spot and then walk our cabin fever off. Today we chose Pelican Island. Well Pardette always agree with my destination, but always hate the journey.

Being overcast the light play was not favourable for colour photography... Yet always make for soft light conditions. To enhance this picture a bit I played extensively with the Adjustments in Lightroom's Free Edition.

Not normally something I do. I like light as soft and Natural as possible. This photo was just to dull in its original production.

Key/Dock Side
This photo had a very red/magenta cast. Also edited extensively in Lightroom's Free Edition.

Richards Bay Marina

In 2010 this was a buzzing business hotspot. Was not here since February 2020 and not sure when and why did it become this quite.

Almost no vessels. The large Rothmans and other sailing vessels are absent

It's from here one can embark on Daily Harbour Cruises and Whale Watching Excursions.

Richards Bay Yacht Club

Having a glance at the moorings it's clear there is an increase in Docked Vessels.

Not happy with the post editing results on this photo.
