WEDNESDAY, 07 MAY 2008: Nine Southern African countries will converge at the Inkosi
Albert Luthuli Convention Centre in Durban on Saturday 10 May 2008 to launch the
consolidated 2010 TFCA Brand.

Rejoice Mabudafhasi, Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism will officially
launch the new joint brand aimed at promoting transfrontier initiatives in the region for
the 2010 Soccer World Cup and beyond.

The nine countries involved include Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia,
South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs) have been identified, through the SADC systems
and processes, as the correct mechanism for spreading the tourism benefits of hosting
the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup in Africa through branding and marketing the region
as a favourable tourism and investment destination.

The 2010 TFCA launch signifies a vision to become an authentically Southern African
brand where countries are united through a passion for nature, culture and community.
