#StLuciaEstuary
iSimangaliso Wetlands Park
18 December 2015
Drought stricken Zululand had some excellent rain recently. The iMfolozi River is flowing bank to bank. This is bitter sweet.
The toxic mud infused water is flowing into St Lucia Estuary closed system. The system also needs fresh ocean water.
It brings temporary relief to the mud pool that developed over the past 15 years, but it does not solve the problem on how to revive one of the most important life support habitats on earth.
Human emotions is ruled by mass media and as Paul Watson stated due to the nature of mass media the truth is irrelevant.
Only people with the insight on the vast importance of an estuary system will experience the frustration to deal with ignorant emotional public.
Feeding a dead system more mud is only suffocating what is left of it. It does not help to recuperate life. It does not invoke life.
